Author Bio
Fred E. Woods is a professor of religious education at Brigham Young University where he has lectured since 1998. He has been a visiting teaching and research professor at several universities and ha received numerous fellowships and awards, including the prestigious Richard L. Evans Chair of Religious Understanding from 2005-2010. Woods is the author of more than 150 articles and several books, including A Gamble in the Desert: The Mormon Mission in Las Vegas (1855-1857).
