“Vegas Strong: Bearing Witness 1 October 2017 Forum Lecture brings together contributors, their families, friends, and supporters, both individual and institutional, and provides an opportunity for the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, to honor the tradition of Vegas Strong. The collection, published by University of Nevada Press and edited by Roberta Sabbath, was written five years after the tragedy and offers a unique story of healing, demonstrating the wide-ranging experiences and repercussions of the event.
Tennille Pereira, Chair of the 1 October Memorial Committee and Director of the Vegas Strong Resiliency Center, will be the main speaker of the event held in the auditorium of the Marjorie Barrick Museum of Art.”
